Kwey! - Welcome to -
The official newsletter of the membership of the
Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake First Nation.
We wish you and your family all the best to over this
holiday season. The purpose of this newsletter is to provide members with a copy
of the “Terms of Reference” that
was signed in September 2005, and to inform you of upcoming meetings. We had
originally planned to send this newsletter out in September, however, funding
for this mail out was slow to arrive.
Meetings – February 15, 2006 & March 15, 2006 - 7:00 PM.
At our Office in the Village of Golden Lake, behind the Post Office.
January 18, 2006 - 7:00 PM
Welcoming at 6:00 PM (Refreshments)
Pembroke Legion, Pembroke.
February 19, 2006 - 2:00 PM
Petawawa Legion, Petawawa.
This is a matter of great concern by your local council. Currently there
are 216 mail returns on the list of the Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake (Our
Adult membership is currently 1685).
We ask that all Algonquins check with their Algonquin relatives and ensure that
they are receiving their mail from us. If they are not getting mail from us,
we probably do not have their current mailing address. We seek the help of
the entire community. Please forward any new addresses to our office in
Killaloe. (613) 757-0765.
The following five pages are the "Terms of Reference" (TOR) that will further guide the Algonquin Negotiation Representatives "ANR's" during the negotiation process.
Chief Patrick Glassford,
On behalf of the Algonquins of Greater Golden Lake First Nation.
PS- Please Note – Only one copy of this newsletter has been mailed out per household.
